Emily the Queen of the Sun (10/24/15)

A cross country trip has not hindered Emily's ability to light up a room with her very presence, or the heart-melting quality of her visage. After a few weeks away from regular updates, weekly posting shall resume. Emily, grudgingly, has let into her life a new companion: Roger. He is small, he is feisty, he is frisky, he is a tiny baby man kitten and he too will feature on My Slow Mo Cat.


Gifted as he is with excess amounts of energy, an outsized personality, and a creative idea of what constitutes "personal space" Emily is yet to warm to this intruder, however, she still knows how to command a sunbeam. In the presence of another cat, she has crowned herself the undisputed Queen of the Sun, Sole Possessor of Beams, and Primary Inhabitant of All Places Blessed by the Rays of Our Nearest Star. Emily takes the role of Sun Queen very seriously and, as today's video shows, she is not about to let anyone be as sweet, cute, or comfortable as she is in the sun's fading rays. Roger for his part accepts her position and, as Sun Prince, awaits the day when he too can be an elegant ruler. For now, he is content to be a second in command, there is more than enough sunlight to go around.
