Emily has sharpened her talents as an actor this last week. After three days of impersonating vibrant characters much like herself, she decided to try being like a character who is nothing like her: Grand Maester Pycelle. In GoT he is almost a character within a character; virile and surprisingly fit for his age, but affecting a hunched, doddering demeanor to conceal his true abilities, mental and physical. Emily, for her part, is a 14 year old cat who defies her age day in and day out with feats of physical prowess cats half her age would be thrilled to accomplish.
To fully embody Pycelle she chose to reenact the scene where, after pretending to be a complete old ninny to Roz, we see Pycelle pacing in his chambers preparing for the day only to slump once again before exiting. She does "the slump" hunching over and curling up in a bundle.
